History of Hogdaddys Saloon |
In July 2001, HogRock, inc purchased Logsdon's old tavern in Old Shawneetown, IL. The building was in ill repair. The floors and roof were falling in. Still, Hogdaddy (Tim York) saw potential and had a dream! People asked, "Why don't you just tear the building down and put up a pole barn?" Hogdaddy couldn't believe his ears! What kind of history is in a pole barn? Through hard work and lots of $$$$ Hogdaddys Saloon is being born. The basement has been filled in and a concrete floor poured. The old roof taken off and replaced with a new tin roof. A balcony has been built all the way around the inside of the building. There is still lots of work to be done, but Hogdaddy and his crew are working hard to get the saloon ready for you to visit this July. Below are some pictures taken during the entire destruction and construction phase.
