The HOGROCK River Rally was started in 1997 on a dare. In 1996, Tim York purchased 115 acres in Southern Illinois on the Ohio River. He bought it mainly to raise cattle, but thought it was so beautiful that it had to have another purpose. Besides farming and other interests, Tim is also an avid motorcyclist. He has attended and enjoyed various rallies throughout the country. He thought it would be fun to try his own rally, which would also give another purpose to his farm. He continued to talk about it until, one day his friend Darol Dryden at DD Cycle (in Marion, IL ), dared him to either just do it or shut up about it. So, Tim and his children (sons, Morgan and Cameron, who both ride and daughter Emily) sat down and brainstormed for a name. Thus, HOGROCK River Rally was born. Attending many other rallies was part of the homework needed to start. Parts of different rallies that were liked were applied to HOGROCK. Friends and other rally goers were asked (and still are) for their opinions and suggestions. Tim and his partner, Theresa, strive to make the rally better every year.HOGROCK has something to offer everyone, whether a biker or not. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to camp on the grounds. Live music is a big part of the venue. We now have three stages in three different areas. Nightly contests also keep the crowd entertained. The field events Saturday afternoon are as fun to watch as to participate in. Food vendors will keep your stomach full and merchandise vendors your wallets empty. The surrounding area makes for a beautiful afternoon ride to see area attractions. Because you asked for it, we have added a fall party! In the year 2001, we hosted our first HogRocktoberfest. The weather didn't cooperate, but the people that came where true partiers. Two nights of bands, wet 'n wild contests, and a poker run on Saturday. We had a so much fun, we decided to keep on throwing the party! In 2005 we added Thursday to the party.

Admission for HogRock in June is $40.00 per person for the entire weekend. Admission for HogRocktoberfest in October is $30.00 per person. Price includes tent camping, entertainment, field events and contests. Again in 2009, there is a support vehicle (non motorcycle) charge. You may bring your pick up or car into the campground, but there is an extra support vehicle charge. For everyone's safety, non motorcycle vehicles must stay parked, and not roaming the campground. Again this June, there are designated areas for RV's and motor homes. There are some electrical hookups spaces for RV's available for an extra $250.00. These spaces must be reserved. (See RV registration form). Also, due to the growth of the June rally and limited camping space, there will be a designated area for non electrical RV spaces. In June, RV's and motor homes in these spaces will be charged a $60.00 fee and must park in the designated non electrical RV area. (NO RV's or motor homes will be allowed in general camping area). These spaces do not require reservations. Again, we ask that non motorcycle traffic be kept to a minimum. ATV's, golf carts, gators, mules, etc. are not allowed. We want everyone's camping experience to be safe and enjoyable. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter. ID's may be required. The event is BYOB (package store 14 miles close), ice and firewood are sold on the premises. HOGROCK is motorcycles (all makes and models welcome), music, fun and most importantly, people who enjoy all these things. For HOGROCK to continue to be "The HOTTEST Little Party in the Midwest" we invite all those people who love to have a great time and know how to treat other people as they would like to be treated to attend HOGROCK 2009!
